Report: G7 refuses to impose almost total ban on exports to Russia
MOSCOW, May 19 (PRIME) -- The G7 states have decided not to impose an almost complete ban on exports to Russia and will instead expand the list of goods subject to sanctions, Bloomberg reported on Friday citing sources familiar with the matter.
According to the sources, a decision to almost completely ban exports to Russia would have been too difficult for some G7 members, and such a measure would have required the consent of all E.U. states.
According to the agency, the list of sanctioned goods will include industrial equipment and tools. In addition, the G7 will also target key sectors such as manufacturing, construction, transportation and business services.
